Open Stage

Our community spoke, and we listened. Open Stage is the new space for gathering and celebrating togetherness through art.

Open Stage is not your average open mic night – it’s a program of quarterly events blending music and poetry, performance, storytelling, and food, and a safe space for our community to come together to celebrate creative expression.

Four events will be happening throughout locations in the West in 2024.

What Sets Us Apart?

Each Open Stage event is curated by a young producer from the vibrant West-based community. They program the events in line with their own specific practice and communities across the Western suburbs.

Open Stage: Muses, curated by Damon Paraha

Dive into a world of live performance, art and the “muses” that ignite our creativity, as curated by hip-hop and spoken word artist Damon Paraha, aka Nomad222.

The first of four events for Open Stage, Western Edge’s new platform for gathering and celebrating togetherness through art, join Damon and local artists HOPE, V!NA and more as they explore the emotional core of music-making – and what it is that inspires us to create.
