Calling all playwrights aged 21-30 in the West!

NEW VOICES FOR THE WEST

EOIs close Sunday 2 July 2023

We are proud to announce our very first writing commission for one playwright to develop a new work over six months in 2023. From July to December the playwright will be supported in the writing, development and staged reading of an original play.

We’re so excited to have this opportunity to champion our stories in the West. If you have an idea ready to be written, in need of development or want the support of mentors and a creative team – we invite you to submit an EOI.

The selected playwright will receive:

  • A 10k writing commission
  • Mentorship from established writers/dramaturgs
  • Monthly check-in and development sessions
  • A week-long development with a focused creative team including a director and actors
  • A staged reading of their work in December

We will work with you to set and develop the timeline and creative process that best supports you and your vision.

Come and share your story – we can’t wait to work with you.
