Free Workshops
There are heaps of ways to step into the world of youth-led theatre, by becoming a member of one of our active youth theatre ensembles. You might already have a passion for theatre, or maybe you’re not sure and you just want to try it out. Read on to find out how you can get involved.

St Albans Edge – Youth Theatre Project @ STACC
Join this free theatre project for the chance to plant your views on stage!
Develop theatre skills, build your self confidence, meet new people and take part in creating amazing performances in your community.
Led by professional theatre director, Penny Halpham, along with other skilled artists who will guide you through theatre devising workshops each week.
Ages: 14-25 No experience necessary
When: Starting Thursday 5 April 2018. 4:00pm – 6:00pm.Then weekly at the same time (except school holidays)

Wyndham Edge – Youth Theatre Project @ Hoppers Youth Resource Centre
A theatre group for young people living in the city of Wynhdam. This ensemble makes high quality art that explores what it means to be young. Devise, write and perform in amazing contemporary performances.
It’s all done through a fun and structured creative process of weekly workshops with professional artists and mentors. Step into leadership roles and share in the decision-making. Find a place for yourself and a way to tackle the big issues in your community.
Ages: 16 – 25 no experience necessary

Footscray Edge – Youth theatre project at Kindred Studios
A theatre group for young people aged 16 to 25 who live in the City of Maribyrnong. This program has recently moved from Phoenix Youth Centre. The group makes high quality art that explores what it means to be young. Devise, write and perform in amazing contemporary performances involving different art forms and new media.
It’s all done through a fun and structured creative process of weekly workshops with professional artists and mentors. Step into leadership roles and share in the decision-making. Find a place for yourself and a way to tackle the big issues in your community.
